An 18th century poet, painter, and visionary, William Blake (1757-1827) received little praise during his lifetime; his influence grows stronger every day.  From W.H. Auden to Jim Morrison to Wendell Berry, Blake's acidic visions etched a path for future poets to follow.

And a palace of eternity in the jaws of the hungry grave
Over his porch these words are written. Take thy bliss O Man!
And sweet shall be thy taste & sweet thy infant joys renew!

A must see.

He who doubts from what he sees

Will ne'er believe, do what you please.

If the Sun and Moon should doubt,

They'd immediately go out.

To be in a passion you good may do,

But no good if a passion is in you.
